Over-Speed Training is one of the best kept secrets of some of the top athletes in the world. A type of workout that the IPA staff was refining before all the cool new equipment and technology was available. We polished and refined it into one of the best speed workouts that were available more than 20 years ago. We literally used industrial grade equipment to produce an over-speed workout for dozens of football movements that ultimately translated across multiple sports as we continued to learn and grow.
This is what works... In order to run faster, increase quickness and jump higher you must train your nerves and muscles to fire faster than they normally would. There is only one way to manufacture that. Over-Speed Training produces the greatest increase in fast-twitch fibers over any other type of workout. Studies have shown that speed strength is much more important than absolute strength in the improvement of speed in short distance. In layman’s terms that means, you can build as much muscle with weights as you want but that won’t make you any faster.

We build Over-Speed Training workouts to incorporate multi-directional movements, short starts and stops with burst of speed, rapid changes in direction, explosive power delivery of impact through contact with the ground and instantaneous power reception at contact. And we do it differently at every work out to engage new tendon and muscle strength.

As technology evolves it will no doubt continue to give coaches and trainers a deeper insight into the strengths and weaknesses of any athlete. Harnessing all of that information and delivering it back to the athlete is what creates our IMPACT players at IPA.
Applying technology and innovation to every work out is not a substitute for hard work, consistency and the extra reps needed to push every athlete to an elite level.

Explosiveness
Being explosive can truly define an athletes success in any sport. Our coaching staff highlights the keys to developing an explosive framework by incorporating unique resistance movements, plyometrics combined with proven fast twitch and flexibility workouts.

FAST TWITCH
Unfortunately God only blessed every athlete with so much fast twitch muscle. The game changer is what you do with it!

The old saying that it takes weeks to get into shape and just days to get out of shape holds true for fast twitch. You can never work too much fast twitch and muscle memory. Fast twitch fibers typically fatigue extremely quick so our goal with athletes is to recruit these type II fast twitch fibers early and often with all of our workouts. No slow twitch fibers allowed!!

That's a very true statement across almost every sport today. Just putting in workouts isn't good enough any more. You have to put in the right workouts that will sustain the muscle and tendon strength needed to compete at the highest level against the most elite athletes day in and day out. Incorporating stability muscles into our workouts create stronger core's and a more balanced athlete.
